According to the guidelines released by the Scout Association Japan, the aims of Venture Scouting are described as under:

◇野外活動を通じ自らの健康の増進をはかり自己を確立する
◇指導者の援助を得て、身体的活動に挑戦する
◇奉仕の精神を身に付け、地域社会に奉仕する
◇協調性とリーダーシップを養い、国際理解を深める
